Who can come to King St?
King St. is free for everyone.

Do I have to be diagnosed with a mental illness?
No, King St. understands that everyone at some-time will need to look after their mental health and wellbeing. What better way then creating and connecting with a like-minded and supportive community.

Do I have to be referred?
No, you can turn just turn up.

How much is it?
All art activities are completely free.

I have not done art in years how do I start?
There are three tutors on the workshop floor every day that will work with you to help you learn what you need to learn. We work at your pace, there are no hoops to jump through.

Do I have to bring my own materials?
No, we provide all the materials you will need.

Can I bring my children during the holidays?
Yes, but you do have to be with them, please refer our Children at King St policy.

I am a male identifying as a female can I come to women’s day?
Yes, refer our Women’s Day policy.

Can I take my art work home?
Yes, it is yours to do as you wish. Some people like to show their work in our gallery or wait to show it at in the annual exhibition.

Can I sell my work?
Yes, however our focus is the creative process and not creating work to sell. Any work that is sold incurs 25% commission to cover costs of materials. We don’t allow mass production for sale (refer our creating art for sale policy).

What do I have to do to sign up?
Just turn up. We will show you around and help you fill out the form. (ARRGGH FORMS! We get it, but it is a necessary evil and we make this as easy as possible.)
